Is anybody else finding Toyota to be highly arrogant in recent years?

They are starting to remind me of General Motors back in the 1980s: overpriced parts, arrogant service departments that just assume I am willing to pay exorbitant prices for their labor. Stuff that should never break on a car breaking.

I am seriously questioning whether or not I want to continue to buy their vehicles. The overall cost over the life of the car is starting to not look like quite the bargain that it used to be.

Has anybody else had this experience with them or gotten this impression of them?

BQ - Which manufacturer do you think, across the board, offers the best value these days and really acts like they want to earn your business as a future owner of one of their vehicles? If you have an economic interest in a particular answer, please fess up on that when you respond to this question, okay?
