Is an unlocked sprint phone usable for verizon?

If i buy an unlocked sprint phone can i use it for verizon?
Or what service can i get an unlocked phone for verizon?
And do i have to have a sims card?
 
Sprint phones cannot be unlocked and they cannot be used on the Verizon network. Verizon will only allow Verizon-branded phones to be activated on its network.
