I've had an ipad for just under year and was lucky enough to win an iPad 2 in a competition. My 9 year old baby bro's birthday has just passed and I gave him my first gen iPad.
Is this over the top? I plan to add games, books & education apps.
He's very bright and exceptional good with technology. Last year I bought him an iPod touch and he also has a laptop (free from gov program). We are not well off people but as a technology obsessed person I always try to get the latest gadgets--I then tend to pass my older models onto him.
Is this good or bad? Would you consider giving an iPad to a child this age?
I definitely feel as though my bro will make good use of it, he already knows so much and is doing very well in school.
