I ride my bike to school everyday. A couple months ago, I was leaving school and I was riding on the right side of the street, with cars (safely) passing by me on the left (same direction I'm going) and there was parked cars on my right. The street was right in front of my school and there were a few teachers that always stand there and talk to each other. One of the bold teachers yelled at me and told me to go over to him. So I did.
He said I was weaving through traffic (I seriously was staying as far right as I could without hitting the parked cars), and that I almost died and that he could take my bike.
When he said that he could take my bike, I immediately thought: hell no you can't. But I didn't know if he really could take it at the time, so I didn't say anything about that.
So eventually he let me go and I went on with my day.
Later that day, I was on the Internet looking at bicycle laws on wikipedia. I read that riding as far right as possible in a lane is legal. And (even though this doesn't apply), I read that riding in between cars is also legal if the cars are going at the same speed or slower than you.
So, could he have actually taken my bike away? I wasn't on school campus at all, and as far as I know, everything I was doing was legal.
