I got into a fight with a homeless man who is good at fighting. I started from a boxing stands. I was doing average. I threw a round kick to his leg. Even though my shin hurt a lot it wasn't enough to stop me from fighting. Side stands don't work. I switched to a side stands. The homeless man landed a round kick on my @ss and disabled me from fighting him. The might have been to my advantage if I used a boxing Krav Maga stands instead of a Kenpo stands. Side stands are always prone to attack. I tried the block with my hand, but it didn't work. The side stands in Kenpo doesn't work. When I've used forward stands, it always works. But, when I use side stands on the street it never works against a good fighter. A lot of the homeless people where I live watch through the windows of Krav Maga or other martial arts, so most of them know how to fight. Some of them have even been good fighters when they were younger. I personally know some of the homeless. What's your opinion on a side stands?
