Is a samsung 37'' 1080 60Hz the right tv for me?

I want for my room and basically for my ps3 and movies and Hd tv shows but Im a bit worry about the 60Hz and its going to be my first LCD in my living room I have a Panasonic 50'' 720p plasma and my ps3 looks so good and im getting the TV for 540 bucks the new model with WiFi whatever that means. Thanks for your help
