is a raptor 80 good to "pit bike" with?

i have a klx110 and put it up for sale but got an offer to trade for a raptor 80 in great condition the only thing is that my klx110 needs a new top end but this guy already knows that. so i am wondering if spending the money on a big bore kit which i want to get is worth it or just to get the raptor help!!! thnks
