If you have a Mongoose bike that you paid $25 for, go get your money back and go out to eat. That would be a much better way to have spent that 25! You didnt get a good deal at all. There is a difference between a dept store Mongoose and one that you find in a bike shop. Look on the headtube (where the fork goes into the frame) and notice if the headbadge is round or has two "M" back to back. If it is round with the animal (mongoose) on it then you made a bad deal! If it is the M back to back then you may have scored. You would have never paid $25 for a real Mongoose unless it was sold by a crack junkie looking for a fix....Personally I wouldnt give you $5 for it since that is about what the metal in the frame is worth at a junkyard, if that much!
It likely retailed originally for about $150 at most ...very low end and not even a real full suspension bike!
