Is a military school or boot camp a good option for preparing for a military career?

I'm 15, I am considering joining the Marine Corps. I know of others who have joined boot camps for the same reason. But I a not sure if it is a good idea. Some say they are only good for troubled teens, is this right?

look. Boot camp, basic training....all have the same goal. to make a Service member out of you. Troubled teens, single mothers, married females...join the military. If you are thinking in joining you should start doing research. you have to go to training before you can call yourself a Marine.

i guess they're talking about court ordered boot camp, that is for troubled teens instead of going to jail you go through truff military type training to learn how to take orders and how to work in groups and work out your problems instead of getting in trouble

Actually boot camps have multiple reasons to join. Yes, one is for troubled teens, however they have an outstanding program which will teach you respect and responsibility. No matter which you choose you will be guaranteed to be happy with your decision, because you will be able to serve your country. Good Luck.
