will a mazda rx8 be good car to travel in to go to college with?

is it a reliable car for the highway?low maintenance

what type of traveling: traveling such as drive occasionally every 1or 2 months from louisville to california.also a little city driving in California

will this car be good for a college student?
 
well driving wise its a fun car to drive but it gets horrible gas mileage

a rotaty engine is not easy to fix or cheap to maintain, i dont suggest this car for a college student
