I'm in High School and I'm interested in getting a wrangler for my first car. My parents have a 1981 custom jeep with a scrambler bed, a CJ front and a Chevrolet engine. It's stick shift and i can drive it well but I prefer to have a automatic for my first car and it is not entirely reliable.
(plus two front seats and a backwards facing jump seat in the bed aren't good seating arrangements for friends)
My parents feel that if I get a Wrangler I well get tired of it, the ride well be rough, it will be unsafe, and impractical for gas mileage and insurance.
Any opinions good and bad?
