Is a hockey game to awkward for a first date?

So, my question is simple. There is this girl at a store near me that I really like. We talk when we see each other in the store, it may not be a long chat, but we can carry on a conversation. To my question, if I had to ask her out, would asking to a hockey game be to awkward and weird, or should I stick to dinner or coffee or something like that.
 
No its not. Although if this girl isnt into Hockey and is totally against it then its a bad idea. BUT maybe she will be open to new ideas.
I dont really like hockey but if a guy was taking me i would be very up for it.

coffee is gr8. if she likes u, and she doesnt like hockey, she might be put off coz she might think that that is all u do in ur spare time. it would drag on and it is gd for l8er on in ur relationship, but not 4 a 1at date.
 
if she's not the romantic kind like me then a hockey game would be find, how well do you know her? sometimes screwing up first leads to great success. if you want to go to a hockey game. go!
