I have a 1993 Mercury Capri with a manual transmission and there seems to be, for lack of a better term "whorling" coming from the transmission. The noise goes away if you put in push in the clutch when you are not moving. if you are moving and engage the clutch or let off the clutch at a stop, the noise is audible. Other than the noise, the car drives and shifts perfectly fine. I have changed the fluid in the tranny but that did not quiet the noise. Maybe this is just a normal noise? Anyone have experience with this generation of Capris? Maybe there is something specific wrong with it? Thank you.
Actually, AB, thats what i thought too. When I drained the fluid, however, I found no metal shavings at all.
