I would like to enter the publishing industry one day, (as an entry level fact checker) but the universities I want to go to only offer degrees in EITHER public relations and advertising OR communications and journalism. Obviously, communications and journalism is the first prioroty, but is a degree in public relatons also neccessary? Or is there another way to train and pick up these skills?
Is a degree in Public Relations necessary for a career in publishing and journalism?
