Many doctors out there say that they became a physician in order to help people, but the reason that I want to become one is because of the science. I love to learn about anatomy and physiology and I'm especially interested in genetics. However, I want to avoid interacting or "bonding" with the patients too much. I don't just want to go into research either though, because I want to be able to perform surgeries.
Are my reasons for going into medicine the wrong ones? I don't want to end up being miserable in a job that I hate.
