Is A Cadillac CTS a good first?

will it make a differences if I get a 2003 Cts or a 2004 Cts and is one better then the other and what color Cts would have a better resale value, and is that A good first car, I am 16 and I need a cr that will last for 5 years or so. My dad is a car dealer so he said that he can get me one for less then $6000 wholesale, so are there any other good or better cars in that price range, also what is the safety rating for the car, Thanks
