Is a 98 honda civic DX worth it?

In my opinion, you cant beat a Honda no matter what year they are. When I was in the military in 1988 I used to have 1975 and 1977 honda civic's and can remember driving one of them without a clutch and if I didnt stop on a hill I had to get out and push it then jump in and throw it in gear,haha good times!!
 
I'm looking at two of them, one has 86k miles and one has 45k- both are DX which apparently have no power windows or door locks- I don't know yet if the ones I'm looking at have air conditioning
it'll be my first car, and I know lots about hondas cause Daddy works at a honda dealership hahah just wanted to know if there's any first hand experience people with one of these?
