I'm shopping for a new car, and I've found a 2000 Pontiac bonneville for $3400 in my area. Now the owners are negotiable on the price, but this car has 182,000 miles on it. I've heard the 3.8 engine in it has a good reputation but what about the transmission? The owners have done a lot of maintenance and have all the records for the work done. I'm not a car person, so would any one be able to give me an opinion on whether this car is worth $3400 or not. 182,000 seems like a LOT of miles on an American car! Thanks so much
