Is a 2000 Ford Ranger Supercab Longbed a good truck?

I am looking to buy a Ranger that has only 47,000 miles on it! it has been kept in excellent condition, i mean, to the point where it looks like its coming off the dealer's lot. This guy has kept it perfect, changed the tranny fluid twice already, flushed the radiator, new brakes, new tires. The price is 5,700. I think that is definately reasonably, but my question is, is the truck a nice truck? Does it drive nicely? Its got the V6 3.0L engine, how is the power? I'm looking for someone that's driven it to just give me some insight. I drove it and liked it, but obviously that's just a test drive. Any problems with these trucks?
 
My son-in-law had a Ranger with the V-6, and it was an excellent truck. I used it many times, and the only complaint I had with it was legroom (standard cab, short bed).

If you're in snow country, plan on carrying plenty of ballast in the bed in winter.
