is a 2000 dodge neon worth buying?

ok so i wanna buy a 2000 dodge neon from this guy i belive hes a mechanic he says it has 185k highway miles on it and its got a head cylinder problem and a timing belt problem buts he is gonna fix both problems for me cause im pretty much gonna buy the parts but is it worth it wih that many miles its my first car and i only need it for about a year like 14 months i belive and id maintain it well
