Is a 1999 Honda Civic ex a good first car?

My mom has a 99 civic ex that has 90k miles on it and it is stick shift,
it a decsant car. nothing is wrong with it. but she said i would have to pay her 3 thousand for it as i get money and if i get the car i must get a job.im turning 16 soon.
do you think it would be a good first car for 3 thousand dollars?
 
Yes, it's great first car
with 90k it will last for a very long time
best thing about it is, it has endless aftermarket support
 
YEA I WOULD SAY THAT ITS A GOOD OFFER HONDAS DONT REALLY WASTE THAT MUCH GAS WHIT IT SO DONT LET THE OFFER GO U WONT GET ANOTHER ONE LIKE THAT
 
its all good...but just make sure you ask your mom to do the timing belt and water pump change before she gives it to you....just so you dont have to spend a few hundred to get it done...
