Best cars i would say for a new driver: Toyota Rav4, Toyotoa 4Runner, Honda CR-V (FOR SUVS) best CARS= honda civic for sure, subarus (very SAFE) brands that are decent: HONDA, TOYOTA, SUBARU by far, then also decent Nissan

M megan Guest Jan 30, 2009 #4 No, you will spend too much money on gas. I bought my son a 2000 ford explorer with about 95,000 miles and i ended up paying more in repairs than i did for the car. It is not very reliable and gas is too expensive.
