deal breaker? I am interested in a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser. I love the style/body and reliability, but I don't know if they're safe. Does anybody know anything about their safety? I know they don't have airbags...so is that a deal breaker? I want to know that I am safe. I would really appreciate a response.

Thanks

This is an official report. If you install a ram guard on the front of it, you'll be drastically increasing the durability of the vehicle. Notice the front bumper. http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/2309/3121/30771560001_large.jpg A professionally installed roll cage wouldn't cost much and could really help too. Most muffler guys are willing to do this as a side job.

Humans survived quite nicely BA (BeforeAirbags). If you like the car buy it and just drive safe.
