I'm thinking of buying a 1983 944 Porsche, which has a rebuilt drivetrain and was supposedly garage kept for for about nine years, is rust free and was someone elses unfinished project. It only has 96k miles on it, it needs a paint job and some new upholstery too. The car is drivable, and has a clean title, and is resonably inexpensive, presumably due to the much needed cosmetic work that has to be done. My Main questions are: Are older Porsches good cars? Does this sound like a worthwhile project to undertake? Or am I asking for trouble?
Is a 1983 944 Porsche (project car) a decent buy?
