Is a 1981 dodge ram pickup swappable with a 1989 dodge ram pickup?

i bought a 1989 dodge ram W100 and there is some parts that needs to be fixed. My father in law has a 1981 dodge ram that has the good parts i need i was just wondering if they are swappable?
