is 99,000 miles too much for a used 2007 pontiac grand prix?

ALSO...how do you find out what the service history for the car was? this dealer im lookin at is tryin to sell this car for $8,977! which i think is wayyy too high considering how many miles...so what is a good price for me to name. i was thinking $5,500 to $6,500.
