I'm looking for a used car that is reliable and while browsing found a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan that I really like. If it was a Coupe with 2 doors rather than a Sedan with 4 doors it would be perfect. It is not over priced and looks brand new. There are no scratches, no dents, dings, rust etc. has almost new tires and looks like it has been well taken care of. My mechanic is going to look it over in the next few days, but until then the one thing that has me really hesitating is the fact that it has 88,000 miles on it.
I have been trying to figure out what is considered "a lot" of miles on this type of car, and I know that it has to do with how it has been taken care of and how well the owner has kept up with the maintenance and oil changes, but in general is this too much? Even though I am buying it used I still don't want it breaking down or needing major repairs in year or two. The asking price is $10,800. I don't want to end up having to buy a new car in a few years and end up wasting more money in the end.
EDIT:
Just to answer some questions:
It is a 6 speed manual transmission
The color is red (same as my previous car)
It is actually a 4 door Civic Sedan not a 2 door Civic Coupe (which I would prefer)
I am going to have a mechanic look it over
It has new tires
Thanks so much everyone!
