is 80000 miles too many for a 2005 Chevy equinox?

my moms best friend is gonna sell me her 2005 chevy equinox and it has about 80000 miles on it. is this average for this car and how many miles can i expect to get before it goes bad. the car works great and is in good condition. she keeps up the mechanical maintenance and if you seen it you would swear its brand new. Also do you think im getting it for a good price. she's asking 3,000 dollars for it because her and my mom are really close but for anyone else the price is way higher. should i get this car? is this good for a first car? 10 pts goes to anyone who can answer all my questions
