I have a Track Bike that my brother gave me... The Chainring has 46t and the rear cog has 15t. If I bike 30 miles a day average with 60% downhills and 40 % uphills and flat. Understand that with a Track BIke I have to keep on pedaling no matter what... I usually go around 40mph on bombing the hills in my area and around 15-25 miles an hour on flat ground and around 10-14mph on hills. Is this a good workout for me ?
Woops. For the little guy who's crying, I'm giving additional details. The first time I got it, it had 46t and a rear 15t cog. I ride with brakes now since it's a killer trying to skid stop during my ride. Right now I ride with a 55t Dura Ace Chainring with a Camapgnolo ultra drive 10t COG. With that kind of gear ratio, i think it's perfectly understandable why I added brakes.
