Is 3 hours a good battery life for a laptop?

I recently bought an ASUS K42f-A1 notebook and I'm wondering if 3 hours is the normal battery life or is there something wrong with my battery.
It has a 6 cell battery.

Three hours is good. Like in the answer above it depends on how you use the computer. I bet a lot of people wish theirs would last three hours.

3 hours is brilliant for a battery. Most laptops only have about 2 hours of battery.

Battery life is effected by what you use the laptop for.

You may get 4 hours if you are only working on documents.

You may only get 2 hours if you are playing games.

I think a good battery life is roughly 4 or 5 hours, but depending on what you use, 3 is fine.

It also depends on the battery cell size. With an Asus, I am assuming 3 hours is good.
