Im just wondering what the average for most people on the older Jeep grand Cherokee's are. Mine is the Inline 6 a 98 with 160k miles. I filled the tank to full a couple days ago, and i have driven 74 miles around in the city... stop and go stop and go kind of driving, and the last 30 miles i drove on the highway with the A/C on. I filled the tank back up and i used 3.88 gallons, divide that by 74 miles and i got an average of 19mpg. I assume thats pretty good right, a friends Hybrid Ford escape gets around 27mpg city.
On the highway at around 55mph i was getting according to the computer around 26mpg
