hatch is the best way to go for lightweight
theres lots of ways you can do for a civic
prices are around 2-3k bone stock
i would go for the si models since they have lots of options like A/C, power steering, they even got rear discs brakes, rear wiper, and control arms where you can install sway bars.
i would personally do a swap:
b16a2 civic si 99-00 model 1.5k-2k
b18b ls motor integra 94-01 1-1.5k
b18c1 gsr motor integra 94-01 2k-3k
b18c5 type r motor integra 3k-4k
if u got money to do this swap go for it but i would just buy a highly modify civic hatch for under 8k
right now i got a gsr motor in my hatch and its fast and fun
runs high 13 to low 14 in 1/4 mile
