i have a 69 Suzuki T125 which is a 2 cyl 2 stroke 125cc 200 pound motorcycle.
it has 15.1 horsepower, tops out about 75mph but i'll assume can only stay there for a short time. it "red lines" around 8500rpm, but you can get it into the 10k mark pretty easily and reliably.
so i guess my question at the top isn't accurate..
Here's what my real question is.
Compared to other 125cc 4 stroke bikes of approximately the same weight and size, how does 15 horsepower stand up?
i know that back in the day, they stopped allowing 2 stroke bikes to race because they thought 4 strokes would never be able to keep up. then shortly after, japanese manufacturers figured out how to make 4 stroke bikes faster. today, there's all sorts of technology behind them, they are very reliable and fast.
but i know that 2 stroke bikes ALWAYS whooped 4 stroke bikes back when this bike was new and into the 70's.
so.... how does this bike compare to a modern 125 street bike as far as horses and what not. ??
