I'm in desperate need to buy a car in the near future, and saw a used 1996 Toyota Corolla for 2800. As I'm on a tight budget, I'm considering it, but I was wondering if anyone with car knowledge could tell me whether this is a good choice. I know there are other factors to consider (how well the car was maintained, if it had oil changes, rust, etc.), but I know very little about cars otherwise. Plus, I need to take into account I will be driving over 200 miles a week when the new semester of school starts, as I commute from an hour away. Opinions are very welcome. Thank you!
