I'm going to ask this here as well because I am not getting any responses on the other board. First of all, how can one know the difference between a hair folicle irritation and a lump in the arm pit area that is more serious? I have a torn rotator or a frozen shoulder that does not allow me to raise my arm very high to shave thus causing problems. I noticed a lump that doesn't feel round as it does more long. It hurts when I start feeling it but other than that it really doesn't bother me all that much. It does seem to have gotten smaller over the last couple of days. One minute I think its from shaving but then I don't know.
If I needed to see a Dr, what kind of Dr. would I go to. We are moving and I don't have the time unfortunately to go through the "chain" of referals so can someone tell me what type of Dr I would see for it should I need to go? Also, can someone tell me how long a shaver nick or hair folicle irritation can last? Also, is a shaver nick and hair folicle irritation the same type of thing?
Thanks for all who reply.
