I just bought a used 2008 Dodge Avenger and they way I got it, there is a cable running into the glove box that allows you to connect an iPod, its the actual iPod adapter not just an auxiliary plug. When I plug in my buddy's iPod nano the screen on the iPod says Uconnect and under that it says Dodge. But I can't figure out how to make it play at all. I thought maybe you have to plug in the auxiliary cord to the headphone jack of the iPod and then to the Aux port on my dash. But if I do that it still doesn't play and I can't get the iPod screen to not say Uconnect (so I can't navigate the iPod) unless you disconnect that cable. I can just use the auxiliary cable, but I wanna know what that iPod plug is for then? Anyone got any ideas? The car did have the aftermarket Uconnect Bluetooth system put in and thats where the iPod cord comes from, if that matters.
