Ipod touch headjack is messing up, can only hear out of one earbud?

I have an ipod touch 2nd gen, and every pair of headphones I try in it, comes out with only one side with sound. At first I thought is was my headphones, and I kept replacing them, but then I realized the my headphones work fine with everything else, and other people's headphones dont work if they use my ipod, so I know its the jack. If I move the headphones plug around a lot, I can sometimes hear out of both buds, but if I move my hand, the sound goes away.

Whats wrong with my ipod, and what can I do about it? I've had my ipod for 9 months btw, I dont know how long until I dont have a warranty
