I am trying to connect my Ipod Touch (64GB 3rd gen) to my bluetooth GPS unit, GPS 4now

This is so I can use Tom Tom on my Ipod Touch, but when I go into Setting, General, Bluetooth and search for devices, I just keep getting the spinning wheel. I also tried connecting 2 Ipod Touches together via the same way but had the same issue. And the same thing when searching for my phone.
Need help, what can I do, do Install some different bluetooth software, change settings, need a different bluetooth GPS unit, etc..... ?
