I'm going crazy thinking about this! So I need the most and best advice I can get so that I can make up my mind already lol....
Ok, recently I was thinking of buying a handheld/PDA because I really wanna be able to have all my days planned out on the palm of my hand....a book planner is fine but I never really wanna take that places with me, so I wanna have a carry-on of it. I decided on the Palm T|X. I went to the website for Palm and found out that now they're making smartphones and got rid of all their pdas. The only option I have to get one would be to buy it used (or "new") online. I wanted a pda for the planner, and documents, personal finance and the internet broswer.
And lately I've seen the Apple iPod Touch in stores and played around with em and they seem pretty cool. I know they have PDA capabilities but I want to know if they're as good as a palm. I already have an ipod video and a cell phone so music and phone on it wouldnt be a concern for me, but it would b nice to have them all together merged into one device lol. Then came the iPhone. I was looking it up on the apple site and it seems it has an ap for everything.
I have a few questions I wanna know that'll help me decide on which one to get:
1. Can I put all the aps on an iPod Touch that an iPhone can get, or are some aps limited to one or the other? And are the aps any good or worth getting?
2. Which would make a better PDA for me: the iPod Touch or the Palm TX? I can Probably also throw in the iPhone into the question if its any better than the 2 lol
3. As far as contacts, word/excel docs, personal planner, finance, and all the other things a palm pilot was made to do....Do the Apple products measure up to this?
4. (And this is the question that would actually keep me from getting an Apple device if the answer is no lol) If I were to get an apple handheld, would I have to sync docs and contacts and other stuff like that into the handheld from my computer ALL the time (and edit them thru the computer instead of thru the device)? Or can I just put em in and save em like that like you can with a palm and any other device that isnt from Apple? lol
I probably have more questions but I cant think of any more right now. Maybe I'll post mote later if I can think of em lol.
