Ipod to car stereo question?

I want to buy a stereo that I can plug my ipod into in my truck, what do I need to do this eg.. what to look for on the stereo spec and what lead would be needed?
 
Simple remedy if you have an iPod and simple car radio with Fm is a radio transmitter, £5.oo

This unit plugs into the bottom of the iPod - select a free frequency on the radio - select the same on the transmitter and your away. Works with any fm radio - car or home. Check out eBay
