iPod nano problem...

ok so for the past day or two my ipod has been getting the album artwork messed up(wrong artwork for songs). and today in the middle of a song is shuts down and comes up with "use itunes to restore ipod to factory setings", so when i get home i plug it into computer and restore it, it works fine for about 10 seconds and does the same thing,

it is a 1st gen ipod nano

this happen to anyone??

if so how do u fix it?

reset it. hold select + menu

tried that, ive done everything on the apple website and it still comes up with the message.

hard drive is dead

mine did the same thing, if it's under warranty you can send it back to be fixed, as in my case they just sent me a new one
