Ipod JailBreak/Cydia Question? Easy 10 points!?

My Ipod is constantly glitching, about once every five months, and I have to keep restoring it and re-downloading all the packages I download from Cydia. That can be VERY frustrating, is there anyway I can download the packages onto my computer so when I need to restore my Ipod, I can just drag & drop them into the Ipod's repo?
