iPhone won't work with hotel wifi?

So I have my iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.0, and I click on my hotels wifi, then it connects and i get and IP and subnet mask, router, and DNS address, but i know that there has to be a pop up that allows me to enter the username and password... there is no auto login button or anything and when i go to safari, it gives the " can not display this page" error right away. There is no Wifi picture in the corner either. This wifi network works fine with my mom, dad, and sisters phones. Please help! Thanks
