IPHONE with T-mobile plan!?

ok so i curently have a t-mobile plan and the phone i have is the samsung behold and i do not have internet on it.
i was wondering if it was possible to use my friends old iphone (the brand new one that just came out) even though i have t-mobile?
plus if i can how could i use it?
