so my daughter had her iphone in her soccer bag and she played a game in a rainstorm. when we got back her iphone would not turn on and it vibrates mildly non-stop. so is it fixable? what should i do?

Leave it in a bag of rice overnight to see it it will be usefull again when dried out..that's about the best advice i can give on the subject. Good luck.

Crap... You turned it on?

It may be fried because you attempted to use it while wet.

For FUTURE reference... If something electronic gets wet, IMMEDIATELY remove any power source and let it dry for a MINIMUM of 3 days.

The quick fix for right now is to STOP TRYING TO USE THE THING!!!

Power + Electronics + Water = FRIED!

It lets out the magic smoke that allows machines to work...

NEVER EVER EVER turn a wet item on.

The rice idea is a good one...

Pop off as much of the case as possible and let it sit in front of a fan for AT LEAST THREE DAYS is better...

DO NOT use a blow dryer... It will heat things up and totally destroy it...

Your best bet is to stop trying to use it and let it dry. Take it to the Apple Store later and learn from your mistakes...

If you get any type of expensive electronic device for a child... or anyone under 22 for that matter... go on amazon.com and buy a water proof case.

Unfortunately, this mistake can not be solved.

Apple & At&t will NOT accept this phone because it ruined the warranty because of WATER DAMAGE.

IF YOU SEND YOUR IPHONE TO APPLE, THEY WILL CLAIM IT AS "WATER DAMAGE" AND WILL NOT FIX IT UNLESS YOU SEND THEM $500.

Same thing happened to me. =/

I'm sorry.

all i can say is bring it to your retailer and have it exchanged but you should know in most newer cell phones they put a little piece of paper in it that changes colors when it gets wet so if it just happened try to dry it as good as you can and hope for the best
