Iphone vs HTC? please help me.?

I have a iphone 3gs i honestly dont have any complaiants about it, i have had it for about two years and its still working good sometimes its kinda slow but im used to it its really good. I wanted to get a new phone since my two year contract is ending so i can get an update. I was looking into the HTC inspire and it looks like a good phone, is there any bad things about it? Should i get it? or should i get the iphone 4 or wait for the iphone 5 and get that? People tell me that the HTC is stupid and not get it because its not an iphone. but yeah please help me out
