I am currently in the market for a new phone and I have ALWAYS wanted the iPhone. But NOW Verizon has the Droid which is comparable to the iPhone. My cell phone service right now is with AT&T and while looking at all the packages that AT&T has to offer including: UNLIMITED TEXT $20/mo, DATA PACKAGE $30/mo and then whatever package of minutes I choose. I know a lot of people who have iPhones and just LOVE THEM, especially all the aps. I have heard some negativity about the iPhone including the heat senstive touch screen and slow 3G network.
Now the Droid. Same concept as the iPhone, except it has the QWERY keyboard which I really like and the packages for minutes are combined into minutes and text messaging. So the only additional charge would be the data package.
I guess my first question is:
the aps for the iPhone and Droid: are they all free or do you have to pay for most of them?
What seems like the better phone in the long run? (the least problems)
What seems better and least expensive: AT&T or Verizon for the minutes and texting package?
