I'm upgrading from my Sony Ericsson W580i to an iPhone 3GS. When I checkout, it makes me re-select a new voice plan (it doesn't let me continue my existing plan) so I re-select the 39.99 a month charge plus all the other stuff that's required. Now my question is:
Does upgrading cancel out my previous phone's plan (upgrade eligible 5/9/10, contract expires 9/8/10), or will I be charged for my new iPhone PLUS my existing old phone? I just want to know if by upgrading, my old phone technically "goes away".
