iPhone syncing help, PLZ ANSWER!!!?

okay, so i have an iphone 3g and i don't want to sync it with my itunes library, bcuz it is synced with another iTunes library, so can i just manually manage music, apps, videos etc. without erasing the iPhone?? i tried clicking on "manually manage music and videos" but if i want to apply the settings it wants to erase the iphone as well, any help on how to deal with this?????
