iphone question: how to get pictures back to camera roll after restoring?

if i restore my iphone, it will delete the photos on my camera roll, right? so how do i get the pictures back to the camera roll (not the photo library) after restoring?

so you mean to say the photos in the camera roll are stored in the simcard so i need to remove the simcard before restoring the phone so the photos won't get deleted?
